04Uptime philosophy

Recovery is a security property. We design every component around what happens when it fails — not just when it works. The resilient streaming layer is the part that lets the rest of the system reconnect cleanly under pressure; it carries the highest availability target.

  • Target — 99.9% monthly availability for the resilient layer.
  • Dependencies — provider-specific SLOs depend on the underlying AI provider (OpenAI, Qwen, xAI Grok, iFLYTEK). Adaptive routing reduces but does not eliminate exposure to a single provider's degradation.
  • Definition of "down" — a customer-impacting failure of the SpeechKey service. Network-level outages between you and our edge are not counted.
